Jon here with another review. This time, I’ll be looking at the Oreo Cheesecake Bar from Dunkin’ Donuts. Now, I know that California doesn’t really have that many DDs yet, but give it time (unless you don’t like Dunkin’ Donuts, to which I shake my head sadly). I managed to snag some Dunkin’ Donuts when I was at my undergraduate reunion this weekend, and tried both of their current cookie products – the Chips Ahoy! Creme Donut (reviewed on A Little Off (of) The Top), and the Oreo Cheesecake Bar.

Oreo Cheesecake bar

The Cheesecake Bar, at first glance, looks pretty standard for a DD product – it has the donut base, the frosting, and Oreo crumble on top. The crumble made eating the bar a bit difficult, as it got all over the place. I can say, though, that it did taste pretty good. They got the cheesecake frosting pretty spot on, and the total product didn’t have anything overpowering anything else. I was half expecting filling, but there wasn’t any. My one gripe with it, however, is that there was not really anything that made it scream ‘Oreo’. Similar to the Oreo Lemon cookies, the cookie flavor felt really generic, so it may have been taking advantage of the Oreo brand to sell the product. Would I get it again? Most likely. My overall feeling is a 4/5:

+ good blend of flavors

+ got the cheesecake frosting spot on
